Though Macbeth wants to be King, he doesn’t want to have to do anything immoral in order to get there. Lady Macbeth compares this behavior to acting like a priest and doesn’t understand why he is letting his moral values get in the way of Gods will. Macbeth was promised he would be King and therefore God wishes him to be so. For this reason, Lady Macbeth sees nothing wrong with speeding up the process.
